2-CM Dreams Sailing Camp 2026
Sixteen Young Sailors. One Chesapeake Bay. Unlimited Possibility.
This summer, 2-CM Dreams proudly launches our second year of sailing camp in partnership with Annapolis Sailing School — and our impact is growing.
What began as an inaugural “From Swimming to Sailing” initiative is now a returning tradition of access, confidence, and opportunity.
In 2026, we will welcome:
-
8 returning sailors from last summer’s inaugural cohort
-
8 new sailors joining the journey for the first time
That’s 16 young people from underserved communities in Annapolis stepping onto boats, onto the Bay, and into a new vision of what’s possible.
From Access to Advancement
Our sailors will participate in two summer sessions:
June 22–26, 2026
-
4 New Sailors (Ages 10–13) – Bay Scavengers
-
4 Returning Sailors (Ages 8–11) – Junior Sailing
July 13–17, 2026
-
4 New Sailors (Ages 7–9) – Li’l Critters
-
4 Returning Sailors (Ages 11–16) – Teen Sailing
Through immersive, full-day instruction, campers will learn:
-
Sailing fundamentals (terminology, rigging, knots, navigation)
-
Water safety and capsize recovery
-
Environmental stewardship and Chesapeake Bay ecology
-
Leadership, teamwork, and confidence under pressure
In the Li’l Critters program, students explore marine life, erosion prevention, and water quality through hands-on projects and sailing exploration. Junior and Teen Sailing campers advance their skills, learning independence on the water while building resilience and decision-making skills.
This is not just recreation.
It is exposure.
It is skill-building.
It is identity expansion.
Why This Matters
For many of our sailors, access to the Chesapeake Bay has never included ownership, instruction, or belonging.
We are building a pipeline where:
-
Swimming leads to sailing
-
Curiosity leads to competence
-
Exposure leads to expanded opportunity
Most importantly, we are creating a model that grows year after year — where returning sailors advance in skill and confidence, and new sailors step into a proven pathway.
Sponsor a Sailor. Change a Story.
Each week of camp costs $725 per child.
Because of our supporters, families from underserved communities participate at little or no cost. But we can only do this through community investment.
You can:
Sponsor One Sailor – $725
Co-Sponsor a Sailor – $365
Support Camp Supplies, Safety Gear, Meals, Transportation – $775 or Any Amount
Become a Program Sponsor
When you sponsor a child, you’re not just funding a week of camp.
You are funding confidence.
You are funding safety.
You are funding representation on the water.
You are helping ensure that access to the Chesapeake Bay is not determined by zip code.
A Growing Tradition
“Our goal is long-term: a city where every child has access to the water and a vision for what’s possible.”
— Janette Duncan, Co-Founder, 2-CM Dreams

STEM and Skilled Trades
at Annapolis Middle School
At 2-CM Dreams, we believe every child deserves the chance to dream beyond their
circumstances and to build a future filled with purpose, confidence, and possibility. That’s
why we are partnering with Annapolis Middle School to launch a STEM and Skilled
Trades after-school program designed especially for middle school students.
This initiative is more than a program, it’s a journey. Together with the school’s
Community School Program Manager and Career Coach, we are identifying real needs
and co-creating an age-appropriate, hands-on curriculum that introduces students to both
STEM innovation and the skilled trades that shape our communities.
To ensure students are supported every step of the way, we are also working with Anne
Arundel County Public Schools’ #BePresent Director of Mentorship Programs to
provide training and vetting for volunteers who wish to serve as mentors. These mentors
will be role models, encouragers, and guides as students begin to explore new
opportunities and develop skills for the future.
But we know this journey is not ours alone. That’s why we are reaching out to local
community organizations and partners who share our vision: to create an environment
where kids from underserved communities are empowered to imagine, build, and achieve
their dreams.
This is just the beginning. As the program grows, we’ll be sharing updates, stories, and
ways you can be part of this movement. Whether as a donor, volunteer, or community
partner; you can help us build dreams, one student at a time.
Follow our journey. Grow with us. Help us build.

We currently have a STEAM Foundation Team comprised of 2-CM Dreams,
2-CM Technologies, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, One Annapolis, Annapolis Police Department,
Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Museum, Annapolis Middle School, and individual STEM Professionals. We are actively working together to plan programs that would fall under our STEAM umbrella to offer Annapolis Middle School students an enriching experience in the
2026-2027 school year...and beyond.
We took a slight break during the holidays to focus on time with our families. We are now refreshed and eager to work together to build something great: Drones, Robotics, Coding, and a Community Garden are a few of the programs where curriculum
discussions are currently taking root!
We are also excited to share that Georgie Clark has joined our 2-CM Dreams Board as an Advisor. She brings years of community focused experience from her engagement with other non-profits to include Hospice of the Chesapeake.
